AVO Viewer is a powerful new
piece of software designed to produce film quality and / or real-time 3D animation.
The package allows scenes
created in a third party 3d package (currently only Alias Maya) to be
interactively authored, shaded and rendered- all in real-time!

Cg Shaders - automatically generated, or user
scripted.

Very simple interface- set a preset and click Go

Allows polygon / NURBS surfaces, skinning, dynamic
hair and particle / flocking systems.

Allows use of Non Linear Animation, Characters,
Clips and Motion Blending along with key-faming and simple expressions

Rendering in real-time at film quality, using
multi pixel sampling

Supports all light types, Blinn
shading, channel texturing, Bump Mapping, Displacement Mapping, Soft Shadowing,
Translucency, Image Based Lighting, Ambient Occlusion, Motion Blur and more.

Emulates look and usage of many Alias Maya Software
Renderer shading nodes

TC/IP editing- mayaLink feature
allows any changes made in Alias Maya to be updated instantly in AVO Viewer- even
remotely or conference editing.

Video output can be continuously streamed as MPEG
via UDP to remote clients, or simply saved to disk in real-time.

Support for input devices such as joystick,
keyboard and mouse (and soon Ascension Technologies ReActor
Mocap System)

Plug-in for Alias Maya 5.0, 6.0 or 6.5 (Softimage XSI version proposed)

AVO Viewer can be run as a stand alone allowing
AVO files to be rendered on machines without Alias Maya installed.

Plug-in nature- Custom nodes, written in C++ can
be added through an API

Requires 1GHz, 512Mb or better PC running Microsoft
Windows XP Professional and a nVidia
Geforce or Quadro graphics
card.
